Things to include and/or exclude in your answers
Your subjects might be very different or quite similar, but its important that there be meaningful grounds for comparison. You can probably describe many differences between a cat and a bicycle, but there isnt really any connection between them to justify the comparison. One of the things that worries people most nowadays is the environment. In the last few decades, humans have been polluting way too much, which has had a negative effect on the environment. For this reason, we must protect it from now on. Use only as much space as you need to answer the question thoroughly, and include plenty of evidence and specific examples (such as how teens relate to the main characters alienation and sense of adult hypocrisy). End with a sentence or two to re-state the main idea, in a new way if possible.

mind in writing essay exams is that you have a limited amount of
time and space in which to get across the knowledge you have
acquired and your ability to use it. Essay exams are not the
place to be subtle or vague. Its okay to have an obvious
structure, even the five-paragraph essay format you may have been
taught in high school. Introduce your main idea, have several
paragraphs of supporteach with a single point defended by
specific examples, and conclude with a restatement of your main
point and its significance. However, the greatest thing about the
Internet is how you can learn tons of things very cheaply or even
for free! In fact, my favourite website is , where people
register to teach and learn about different things: music,
website design, making apps, history, etc. So I totally recommend
it to everyone! This work is licensed under a Creative Commons

attractive
- spacious / spotless

The title will be a subject of general interest you wont need any specialised knowledge. Your local lm club is asking its members to write a lm review to post on its website. Write a review of a lm you have watched recently in which say whether you liked it or not and if you would recommend it to other members of the club. An argumentative essay tends to be a longer essay involving independent research, and aims to make an original argument about a topic. Its thesis statement makes a contentious claim that must be supported in an objective, evidence-based way. When writing an essay, you can choose whether to give it a title or not. This could be the same question provided in the task. As for the structure, it should have an introductory paragraph, and a conclusion at the end. The body should consist of 2 or 3 main paragraphs, depending on how you decide to structure your ideas. The majority of the essays written at university are some sort of argumentative essay. Unless otherwise specified, you can assume that the goal of any essay youre asked to write is argumentative: To convince the reader of your position using evidence and reasoning.
What are essay exams - Another important aspect is keeping in touch. Calling and meeting your friends regularly is the only way of keeping the friendship alive. However, this can be dif cult if they live far, so texting is another acceptable alternative.
Comparing and contrasting is also a useful approach in all kinds of academic writing: You might compare different studies in a literature review, weigh up different arguments in an argumentative essay, or consider different theoretical approaches in a theoretical framework. Did you know that Daniel Craig was already famous before playing James Bond? In fact, my favourite Daniel Craig movie is called Layer Cake, which he did a long time before becoming the most famous spy in the world. Furthermore, I have some experience organising entertaining events for children, as I worked at a regular camp for children last summer. For this reason, I am capable of organising and playing fun games with children. Take money, for example. Money doesnt automatically make us happy. In fact, it makes some people very unhappy because they are frightened of losing what theyve got. On the other hand, if were not greedy and dont spend it foolishly, it can reduce stress and give us security. This handout discusses how to write a timed essay exam in a class. The first step is to study the material. It might also help to ask your instructor if you can see sample essay exams from a past class to get an idea of the level of detail he or she prefers.
