Das Cover der Serie suggeriert außerdem, dass Yuichiro und sein am Ende der Folge blutend im Reich der Vampire zurückgelassener Freund Mikaela demnächst Todfeinde sein werden. Was mich speziell in dieser Folge enttäuscht ist die Faulheit in Hinblick auf das amerikanische Setting.

Eiichiro hat anscheinend kein Problem, mit den Amerikanern zu kommunizieren (auch wenn er einen amerikanischen Trainer hat sollte da eine gewisse Sprachbarriere spürbar sein), und es ist nie klar, ob die Leute jetzt gerade Englisch oder Japanisch sprechen, weil von der Synchro her kein Unterschied gemacht wird. Das wäre ja noch okay, aber dass an einer amerikanischen Akademie auch noch Japanisch beschriftete Fragebögen verteilt werden, halte ich für unglaubwürdig. Akademien für übernatürliche Kräfte an sich ziemlich sind ja als Thema für Anime total ausgelutscht, aber dank des bunten, gut geschlechtergemischten Casts und des Fakts, dass die Hauptperson ein Mädchen ist (das noch dazu auf Mädchen steht) ist es trotzdem alles andere als der übliche Einheitsbrei und lohnt einen Blick vorausgesetzt, man kommt mit der Hyperaktivität von Eruna klar. Und um seine Heldentaten zu begehen missbraucht er seine Macht als Programmierer des Social Network seiner Schule, hackt Accounts und droht, die Privatadressen von Schülerinnen im Internet zu veröffentlichen. Oh, Moment, es ist ja okay, weil er es für die gute Sache tut und äh kurz: die Autoren haben wohl die ganze Diskussion um Datenkraken und NSA verschlafen und tun nicht mal so, als wäre das großartig fragwürdig.
