From September to December, qualified members of NEHS work in unisonwith aspiring college students at CCHS to make their admission essays as representative and powerful as possible in an event called Peer Essay Review. Apart from studying with dedication and participating in competitions, I also play active role in the life of my school. Since childhood, I had a chance to develop my leadership and organizational skills through sports and had my school team win many competitions. My school is one of the places where my leadership qualities are valued as I often become a head of many activities, such as staging plays, organizing shows and school trips with my teachers. Being a leader gives me the opportunity to work in a team and consider my peers ideas to make our plans creative and enjoyable for everyone. My personal traits help me to gain trust and respect of my peers as they believe me to be a positive, open-minded and reliable person. I have learned to solve problems and conflicts thanks to this great experience of leadership, and I am always ready to assist my peers when it is needed. Those chosen to be a part of NEHS often display unusual mastery with concepts and skills involved in the class. As a result, members of NEHS who are recommended by the AP Lang teachers at CCHS put together a review session for the end-of-year exam.
Generally, the camp hosts a little less than 100 students, but no more than ten teachers, which means that thefocus of the camp is on reviewing the rubric and going over the basics to construct an essay. There are a lot of ways of travelling. People can travel by car, by plane, by ship, by train, by coach or on foot. My favourite way of travelling is travelling by car. You can enjoy the view looking through the window and this way of travelling is rather fast. On November 15 the members who participated in the project went and met up with the kids and exchanged bookmarks. The members went and stood in front of the class and said which child they had, who then got up and went to get their new bookmark, giving the member theirs as well. After everyone had exchanged their bookmarks, two NEHS members went in front of the kids and read them a book that also followed the theme of the ocean. The rest of the members sat down among the kids and listened along with them. By attending this, the members received one event hour. Theproject is a popular one due to the amount of books that students store in their closets or bookcases and forget about.

They stacked books and pinned up posters denoting everything from grammar to acronyms about research as well as did anything that their specific teacher wanted accomplished. After their meeting on October 27, NEHS members had the chance to receive a project hour by staying and creating a personalized under the sea themed bookmark for their respective littlest cowboy, whom they were assigned to. Since there were more members than kids, in order to still give everyone the chance to participate, members were given the option to partner up and work together.
