you just to name a few.
If you choose to write about educational barriers youve faced,
how did you overcome or strive to overcome them? What personal
characteristics or skills did you call on to overcome this

universities across the state. The UC system does things its own
waythey have a separate application and (you guessed it) a
separate list of essays to write. For example, outside of the
PIQs, the UC system asks you to write an activities list and
provides space for additional information, both of which we can
help you with too. In an essay this short, the thesis statement
does not always come at the end of the first paragraph. Sometimes
the first two paragraphs are taken up by captivating narration of
an event, and the thesis comes in the conclusion, in the
successful thematic and narrative tying-up of the essay. But when
outlining and planning your essay, its a good idea to be certain
about what the thesis is, and to try to begin to convey iteither
outright, or hinting at itby the end of the first paragraph.
